Defying convention

Had a great time at The Birmingham Comics Festival on Saturday. Met loads of new folks and said “Hi!” to some familiar exhibitors. First time with my new banner stand too. I saw quite a few people look at it, although I don’t yet know how successful it was in pulling them towards my table. Many congrats to the organisers for running a great show and I will definitely return next year.

My next appearance won’t be until September now. I’ve decided not to go to City of Heroes as the table charge is pretty damn expensive considering the likely number of visitors. So instead, my next event is the International Comics Expo (ICE) in Birmingham on the 5th September. Not been before, but I recognise some of the other exhibitors and it’s very local, so makes sense.

After that, it’s BristolCon on the 26th September, and that’s me for the year!

I hope to have some paperback copies of The Resurrection Tree and Other Stories ready for these shows, as well as some other little surprises, but I’ll keep you up to date on those.

Tony.
