The Resurrection Tree now in Kindle Unlimited
I have taken the plunge and enrolled The Resurrection Tree and Other Stories in KDP Select, which means it is now exclusive to Amazon (until the end of July), and if you have a Kindle Unlimited account (£7.99/mo), you can get it for absolutely free! Along with 700,000 other titles of course, but ignore them for now…
“But why?”
Two reasons: 1. I’ve hardly had any sales outside of Amazon anyway, so going exclusive isn’t going to cost me any fans or money, and 2. I had been considering it for my novels Powerless and Killing Gods, but I do have a steady trickle of sales of those on other sites, so didn’t want to lose that for three months and potentially make less. So overall, my short story collection is the “safest” one to give this a try with.
I’ll post an update here in a few weeks’ time to let you know what happens in terms of sales. Hopefully there will be an uptick thanks to KU. Whatever happens, I will be trying out a price promotion also, which one (Kindle Countdown Deal/Free Book Promotion) I have yet to choose.
