Kickstarter rewards and Crowdfunding thoughts

Well I finally got the Kickstarter cash this week, all 250 comics arrived yesterday, and I’ve started to post out the rewards. So it looks like my crowdfunding adventure is almost at an end!

Would I do it again? Possibly. Not sure if I’d do it for a book (although that is what most people who follow me know me for) because I just don’t think KS works well for purely written media. There are crowdfunding sites specifically for books (such as Unbound) but KS gets by far the most traffic, plus I haven’t done any research on how well niche genre titles do on those other sites.

Anyhow, if I did it again, it would be for another comic. I have ideas for other stories, but graphic novel length. And if I was doing the art it wouldn’t be colour as that takes far too much time for me to finish to a standard I’m happy with. But that’s in the future, specifically after I’ve finished book #3. Once all these boxes are shifted, I can at last concentrate on getting to work on that. I’ve already got my daily word count spreadsheet prepared, so I’m halfway there 🙂
