The worst time of the year!
Yes, the worst time of the year has come round again. It’s when all my favourite TV shows return for their new seasons, eating into my writing time. Not to mention any new shows I want to check out.
Like lists? Well here’s two for good measure:
Returning shows:
- Agents of Shield (I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt for a while longer)
- Arrow (always solid)
- The Blacklist (cracking programme – James Spader is fantastic)
- CSI (current season just ending, but one of the best so far)
- Homeland (not sure about this any more, season three was interesting but weak)
- Under the Dome (getting wierder, and all for the better!)
- The Walking Dead (I hate cannibals)
New shows:
- The Flash (looks fun)
- Gotham (looks dark)
- The Strain (looks bloody)
So that’s over 7 hours per week gone just like that!
To be honest, I hadn’t been writing much recently. The day job has been relentless. No overtime, just solid work from start to end, leaving me mentally exhausted and not in a writing mood come evening. All I’ve been able to do is brew some ideas for the new SF book and get things sorted for BristolCon. And now I’ve got all that TV in the way. Damn it! I need to chill out in front of Strictly Come Dancing for a bit…
