“Alice’s Nightmare in Wonderland” Kickstarter – Back this now!
I have backed many projects on Kickstarter over the last couple of years, but none quite as swiftly as Alice’s Nightmare in Wonderland. It is an adventure gamebook project from Jonathan Green, author of Fighting Fantasy books, the Pax Britannia steampunk series and the Fighting Fantasy history book “You Are The Hero”.
I used to play the FF gamebooks all the time as a child (as opposed to the tabletop RPG stuff, which was far too social for me back then) and it was those books that first triggered my young imagination and led me to write SF and Fantasy. Sadly, I only have one of my original gamebooks left (a well-thumbed copy of The Talisman of Death), but many fond memories.
Now, I missed the You Are The Hero Kickstarter, so when I heard that Jonathan was doing another one for a gamebook, a new story set in the world of Alice in Wonderland and illustrated by Kev Crossley, I was straight in there! They just need £7950 and (as of typing this post) have hit £5037 with 21 days left. I hugely encourage you to make a pledge – I went for the £20 March Hare pledge, which gets me a digital and paperback copy – as this book simply needs to exist!
Follow the Alice Kickstarter here, and get updates on the Facebook page and Jonathan’s blog.

ALICE’S NIGHTMARE IN WONDERLAND is a brand new nightmarish gamebook – a multi-path book, very much in the style of Choose Your Own Adventure and Fighting Fantasy Gamebooks, in which you choose the course of the story – inspired by the works of Lewis Carroll and the Steampunk genre.
My name is Jonathan Green and I am an author, editor and games designer. I am probably best known for my Fighting Fantasy adventure gamebooks (including YOU ARE THE HERO – A History of Fighting Fantasy Gamebooks) and my Pax Britannia Steampunk novels.
