Putting myself out there
I just realised the other day I’m not registered with HMRC for tax. Oh yeah, sexy tax talk coming up, you know you love it! 😉
But quite apart from possibly missing the sexy deadline for online self-assessment I remembered I needed to get some sales details together as proof should they need it. And while putting together a list of all the places Powerless is available I noticed it’s spreading itself around a bit.
So far the ebook version is on Amazon, Goodreads, Smashwords, Barnes & Noble Nook, Sony ereader store, Apple iBookStore, Diesel, Google Play, Gumroad and as a paperback through Amazon (via Createspace) and Lulu.
Not just that I’m also investigating creating a Bittorrent Bundle (been accepted in the Alpha test phase of the service) and signing up to Lightning Source (or Ingram Spark as their Print on Demand service for individual authors is called) to further print distribution.
There’s also the possibility of creating a storefront on my website itself, although that’s a bit more hardcore than the kind of action I’m looking for at the moment. In any case, you can’t say there aren’t enough options for self-publishing your work and getting eyes onto it.
And back to the original topic, I hope I get my Taxpayer Reference number before next Friday, otherwise I’m going to be fined for not filing a self-assessment in time! And there’s nothing sexy about that 🙁
