Featured on Bittorrent Bundles front page
Yep, I signed up to their beta program a few weeks back, finally got round to creating and making public my bundle last week, and just yesterday mine and nine others popped up on the front page.
In the bundle itself you will find:
- Powerless
- Killing Gods Preview
- Making Gods (short story collection)
- High res covers for all three books
All available for the price of a download, that’s right, completely free! Grab yourself a torrent client such as utorrent if you don’t already have one, download and open the torrent link on the Powerless Bittorrent Bundle page and away you go.
Now you must be thinking I’m mad releasing all of these for free, but for me it’s about exposure, getting my work into as many channels as possible so that it gets in front of as many eyes as possible.
I see these bundles as a way of getting people using peer-ro-peer who wouldn’t normally, those who think it’s all about piracy and sharing horrific porn. The website is slick (although it could absolutely do with a filter for different types of content at the very least: music, books, film, etc.) and it is possible to monetize your bundles, either pay to download the whole thing or pay to download some of the items, or you can ask for an email address to unlock them, thereby grabbing yourself some useful contact details.
I think it’s fantastic and incredibly forward-looking and I’m sure there will be competitors popping up within the year. If you’ve got a back catalogue of books hanging around not doing much, or even a few new ones that need a boost, go bundle yourself!
